Overview

The American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF) and American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines define “pharmaco-invasive” strategy as:

“The administration of fibrinolytic therapy either in the pre-hospital setting or at a non-PCI-capable hospital, followed by immediate transfer to a PCI-capable hospital for early coronary angiography and PCI when appropriate.”1
